Our Connex for Cancer Day campaign began on 1 July, and we’re asking Melburnians to do their bit to raise money for cancer research.

Over the month of July we will be raising the awareness of Connex for Cancer Day. For every Metcard bought at any of our Ticket Offices on Thursday July 31 we will donate $1 to Peter Mac to help find a cancer cure.

This activity is a feature of the Connex and Peter Mac partnership which is now into its fourth year

Last year’s Connex for Cancer Day returned a record $80,358, doubling the previous years take, with every dollar helping Peter Mac undertake essential cancer research.

Help make 2008 an even greater success by buying a Metcard over the counter on Thursday 31 July, dropping some coins into collection tins at CBD stations, or participating in online activities at
